What this role is all about:
This role is all about partnering strategically with business units to drive informed decision‑making and commercial performance. The Finance Business Partner provides high‑quality financial reporting and analysis, supports the alignment of business unit goals with the wider organisational financial strategy, and uses insight, analytics, and collaboration to influence outcomes and improve results.
Key Actions
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyse financial reports, identify trends, and provide insights to business leaders to improve performance.
- Strategic Planning and Budgeting: Collaborate with business units to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans that align with overall company objectives.
- Performance Management: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress against targets, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Decision Support: Provide financial guidance and analysis to support decision-making processes across different departments.
- Risk Management: Help identify and assess financial risks and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
What do you need to thrive?
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a Finance Business Partner or similar commercial finance role
- CIMA qualification or equivalent (essential)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into meaningful insight
- A proactive, solutions‑driven mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and/or Sage financial systems
- Exposure to large system or transformation projects (delivering assigned tasks within large, complex system implementations and taking ownership of smaller projects end‑to‑end)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across the business
