Giving Back
UNICEF Partnership
UNICEF is our corporate charity partner. Over the years, we’ve supported a range of fundraising and volunteering initiatives, including:
- Donating half a million food packs to malnourished children in Sudan in 2021 through our partnership with Waitrose.
- Donating £229,300 to UNICEF’s emergency Ukraine appeal (£100 on behalf of each Vitality employee) to help deliver life-saving services to children in need.
Local charities
In the UK, we support Julia’s House (Bournemouth), Francis House (Stockport), and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (London). In South Africa we support Home of Hope for Girls through various initiatives we run on a yearly basis. Home of Hope is a South African non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting and empowering girls who have survived child trafficking, abuse, and exploitation.
Community Active Fund
This fund helps our employees and their families lead healthier lives. Employees can apply for a £1,000 donation to support a local sports club, group, or team close to their hearts. In 2024, the fund donated £26,000.
Make It Happen Fund
Designed to help our people get physically active, this fund supports team-led initiatives by offering support and funding to bring their ideas to life. We review applications quarterly.
myVolunteering
A programme in partnership with Employee Volunteering, we offer a year-round programme of volunteering events. Teams also use myVolunteering to create bespoke events that foster collaboration and support causes close to their hearts. For example, our IT team sponsors an Eco Coding course in 40 schools across Dorset.
