Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in either the Bournemouth or London Vitality office.
Please note this is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Full time hours.

What this role is all about:
Group Internal Audit’s purpose is to strengthen Vitality’s ability to create, protect, and sustain value, by providing objective assurance, advice and insight. As a member of the team, you will play a key role in delivering the audit strategy, executing advisory and assurance engagements and working closely with management to deliver impactful audit reports, that contribute to control and process improvements.
Key Actions
- Planning, execution and completion of audit assurance and advisory engagements across a portfolio of business areas, to assess the design and operating effectiveness of the controls to effectively manage the risks and comply with policies and regulations.
- Manage the delivery of assurance and advisory engagements to the agreed framework, quality and timelines (including working with and coordinating co-source activity).
- Monitor the timely completion of management audit actions, verifying the design and embedding of controls, to address the root causes.
- Communicate to stakeholders at all levels, the assessment of the effectiveness of the control framework to manage risks, providing insights on governance and audit related matters and offering pragmatic solutions to mitigate issues and potential risk.
- Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing of trends and best practices.

What do you need to thrive?
- Audit Manager experience within an internal audit team, preferably within the insurance sector, financial services or global regulated enterprise.
- Understanding of internal audit methodologies, risk management and internal control frameworks, demonstrated through a relevant degree or professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, etc.).
- Demonstratable proficiency in planning and delivering audit assurance engagements across a portfolio of areas (including strategic, financial, regulatory and operational).
- Presenting and explaining audit findings and reports to senior level management.
- Execute audits to the agreed framework, timelines and quality.
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Troubleshoot problems, identify issues, potential risks, root cause analysis and make practical recommendations.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to influence and drive change.
- Confidence to interact with Senior Executives with the ability to demonstrate objectivity, integrity and professionalism.
