About The Role

Team – Global Product Delivery 

Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Sandton Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

What this role is all about:

This is a role for someone who thrives on turning insight into impact. Supporting Vitality's digital and core platforms, you’ll partner with business stakeholders and developers to define, validate and test technical solutions. You will ensure that what we build not only meets business requirements, but enables smarter engagement, healthier behaviour and long‑term value creation.

Key Actions

  •  Lead end‑to‑end business and technical requirements elicitation, ensuring functional, non‑functional and regulatory requirements are clearly defined, validated and fully met.  
  • Produce clear, high‑quality analysis artefacts including Functional Specifications, Interface Specifications and prototypes, aligned to Agile practices, industry standards and Vitality best practices.
  • Conduct detailed systems and integration analysis, documenting interfaces, data flows and dependencies to support scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Drive business process analysis and improvement, creating current and future‑state process diagrams that enhance efficiency, scalability and member impact.
  • Act as the key interface between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring shared understanding and successful implementation of solutions.
  • Support the configuration, testing and validation of solutions, evaluating alternative designs and workflows to optimise delivery and value.
  • Analyse and interpret data using appropriate tools and techniques to inform solution design and decision‑making.
  • Challenge assumptions by uncovering the “why” behind business requests, proposing alternative approaches to ensure solutions meet true business intent and align to Vitality’s Shared Value model..

What do you need to thrive?

  • NQF Level 5: Certified in a 3-year National Diploma, BSc Computer Science, or BCom Information Systems (or similar).
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Technical Systems Analysis and Integration.
  • Extensive experience in Data Analysis.
  • Experience in Agile (breaking down Epics into smaller User Stories, estimating, and writing User Stories).
  • Good understanding of UML and BPMN, specifically: User Case Diagrams & Narratives, Sequence Diagrams, Activity Diagrams & Entity Relationship Diagrams
