As a Senior Test Engineer you’ll design and execute advanced test strategies, drive automation using modern frameworks, and work closely with product owners and technical teams to solve complex challenges.
Alongside honing your expertise in test automation and developing a second specialism, you’ll share your knowledge to support the growth of other engineers. If you’re passionate about quality and innovation, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
What this role is all about:
Key Actions
- Lead the Software Test Lifecycle – From planning and design to execution, defect management, and reporting.
- Act as a Testing Expert – Provide technical leadership and guidance in core testing practices.
- Drive Quality & Reduce Technical Debt – Ensure automation standards and KPIs are met.
- Champion Testing Standards – Promote and enforce the Group Test Strategy across teams.
- Influence Modern Testing Approaches – Advocate for best practices and innovative solutions.
- Engage Stakeholders – Understand needs and deliver outcomes that exceed expectations.
- Develop Talent – Mentor and coach test engineers while growing your own expertise.
- Specialise & Innovate – Master two specialisms (including automation) and work toward a third.
- Research Emerging Tech – Recommend tools and frameworks to modernise testing.
- Collaborate Across Teams – Work effectively with diverse teams to achieve shared goals.
What do you need to thrive?
- Proven experience in designing, maintaining, and implementing test automation frameworks, with a deep understanding of automation standards and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate test activities across large or multiple teams, including test analysis, design, estimation, planning, execution, and defect management.
- Experience working with various stakeholders, including senior management, project managers, developers, and external parties, to understand requirements. You will discuss product launch needs, and ensure integration across multiple systems.
- Recognized as a subject matter expert in testing standards, with experience in developing, reviewing, and ensuring adherence to both in-house and industry standards.
