Team – Health Finance
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will support the delivery of the monthly Vitality Health Performance Pack, the quarterly Vitality Health CEO report, other forms of reporting within VitalityHealth and to provide cover as required in respect of bonus calculations and bonus reporting within Distribution.
Key Actions
Performance Pack
- Co-ordinate compilation of the monthly Performance Pack, including
- Preparation & distribution of the monthly reporting timetable to contributors
- Collection & review of data submitted by contributors
- Assist contributors in creating power point presentations
- Continuous review of the Performance Pack to suggest improvements to the pack
Working Capital/Short-Term Investments
- Reviews daily cash flows between Vitality bank accounts, and creates appropriate bank transfers to ensure that sufficient funds available
- Prepare reconciliations & monthly accounting journals for movements in short-term investments
Ad-hoc Commercial Analysis
- Support the Commercial Finance team and the Health Finance Director in the production and development of other reporting as required (e.g. monthly P&L reporting, cash flow analysis and forms of reporting to support actuarial processes).
Cross Cover
- Providing cover as required for the sales and retention bonus process, which can include the preparation of bonus calculations, coordination of approval process, production of monthly summary analysis for Finance & Sales Directors, and preparation of monthly bonus accruals.
- Providing cover as required for VitalityHealth financial reporting processes, which can include the preparation of data for monthly journals or the preparation of reconciliations (e.g. accounting for those investments that the Commercial Finance team support).
What do you need to thrive?
- Previous experience of working in an Accounting environment
- Willingness to take ownership and accountability for tasks
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to resolve issues and queries
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in multi-tasking
- Accounting Qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA or CIMA) would be ideal but not essential
