Team – Technical Marketing, Content and Social
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
This role is part of the Technical Marketing team, which serves as a crucial link between R&D, sales, distribution, and central functions. As part of the Marketing team, it supports Marketing and Distribution by providing technical positioning on products and market activity, and gathers feedback from distribution to inform product development and strategy. Responsibilities include conducting detailed comparisons of competitor products against our own, focusing on various medical conditions. This analysis helps develop marketing positioning and aids in product development. Additionally, the role involves contributing to thought leadership by researching medical advances and socioeconomic changes, and understanding their impact on the insurance needs of the UK population.
Key Actions
- Developing a deep understanding of the UK health and protection market.
- Performing competitor product analysis including interdependencies of different medical conditions. This is with a view to supporting the business in maintaining competitive advantage.
- Developing thought leadership material.
- Developing new tools to help advisers understand and sell our products.
- Creating effective marketing messaging that positions our unique selling points.
- Review literature produced by marketing.
- Support the RnD team in developing new marketing leading products.
- Respond to technical queries from our sales-force.
- Help to coordinate and manage the production of collateral from the team.
- Assisting in the production and execution of regular webinars delivered to sales teams.
- Liaising with a number of internal and external stakeholders.
- You will also work closely with a number of internal functions including product, underwriting, sales, marketing and training in helping the business launch innovative new solutions to the UK market.
What do you need to thrive?
- A level or equivalent in mathematics.
- Bachelor degree in a mathematical, medical or biological sciences degree.
- Good numerical skills and communications skills, being able to write and present materials for internal and external audiences.
- Competent on Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- You will be expected to take the actuarial exams and to be motivated to undertake this training with the view to qualifying as an actuary.
