Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will provide analytical support and expense reporting for Vitality's Enterprise function, including Technology, Projects, and R&D. The role involves working with the Senior Finance Business Partner and the Business Partnering team to ensure accurate accounting and forecasting, produce expense and project spend analysis, understand transactional data details, and comply with month-end and budgeting timelines.
Key Actions
- Coordination and completion of all month-end tasks for the functions supported within the appropriate deadlines.
- Maintain timely forecasting and support with annual budget cycle.
- Build and maintain an excellent understanding of the responsible cost centres cost base in terms of transactional detail.
- Ensuring accuracy of Anaplan output while ensuring reconciliation to business partner expectations.
- Lead on ad-hoc analysis driven by own interpretation of key risk and opportunities within the functions supported.
- Produce standard consistent reporting in a timely manner for review.
- Ensure rigorous governance and accurate accounting principles are applied and followed throughout as well as actively seeking process efficiencies where appropriate.
- Respond and communicate with business stakeholders on routine finance queries.
- Provide ad-hoc assistance to the Senior Finance Business Partner.
What do you need to thrive?
- Proven experience in expense or analyst roles within a Finance team.
- Ability to work constructively with finance stakeholders, providing them with support in processes and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience of managing multiple priorities to strict deadlines.
- A self-starter who works diligently with ambition to develop the role.
- Qualified or finalist of an accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
- Advanced user of Excel.
