Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
This dynamic new role will develop and manage the IT risk management and control testing framework for Vitality Technology. It will foster a culture of risk awareness and ownership. You will lead IT risk management change programs, provide regular reporting to stakeholders, oversee IT General controls, audits, and assessments, and collaborate with internal/external audit, Group Risk, and Information Security. Additionally, you will assist in policy and standards alignment, risk scoring, and control effectiveness assessments, and recommend control design improvements.
Key Actions
- Design, Implement and Manage the IT Risk Management Framework
- Create and maintain an IT Risk Register for Vitality Technology
- Create and manage risk improvement plans
- Provide risk reporting to the IT Senior Leadership Team
- Promote a culture of risk awareness across technology departments
- Identify the need for investment to fund IT Risk mitigation activities
- Provide oversight of all IT risk events ensuring they are recorded, investigated & closed-off
- Maintain an awareness of potential emerging IT risk and ensure these are recorded, visible and considered in all new technology initiatives and financial planning activities
- Work closely with Group Risk, Audit & Compliance, ensuring that IT Risks are reported as required and aligned with risk appetite and risk tolerance levels
- Assisting in finding practical and cost-effective solutions to identified or revealed risk issues
- Providing direction and guidance in the development, completion, and communication of risk-related policies, standards, and procedures
- Schedule and complete quarterly IT risk assessments
- Actively engaging in end-to-end risk remediation planning, resolution, and monitoring activities
- Manage and co-ordinate internal and external compliance audits of our IT processes and practices, ensuring full collaboration with the auditors
- Manage and implement an ongoing Assessment and Controls Assurance program focusing on IT General Controls across all Technology functions.
- Manage and co-ordinate Disaster Recovery exercises and report on results.
What do you need to thrive?
- You will have knowledge of ITIL, ISO27001, NIST CSF, and ITDR management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Well organised with a good ability to prioritise.
- Excellent MS Office and reporting skills.
- Experience of using & implementing IT risk management tools.
- Build, implement and user training on an IT Risk management system.
